USAID continues despite "shutdown" – tell Congress to start making cuts!

It's time to tell lawmakers to start cutting USAID commitments and other "foreign welfare" programs – the government is not a charitable organization!

The current government shutdown has barred veterans from visiting memorials and has even thrown people out of their homes, yet the government evidently has enough money to keep doling out aid to foreign governments.

“The federal government may have ground to a halt because of the budget standoff in Washington,” says the New York Times. “But at least one part of the government continues to operate as usual: foreign aid agencies.”

The State Department has confirmed that foreign aid programs will continue, even as state and local aid programs are shutting down for want of funds.

In a time of severe economic distress this country is going through, it is imperative that foriegn aid be stopped. There are more citizens unemployed than there was in the Great Depression. People are struggling to put food on the table, pay mortages & other expenses. Inflation is climbing at an alarming rate & it's due to government overspending. Those who were laid off during the shutdown, can be permenantly laid off. That is one way to save. Giving countries money, who hate our guts, is totally asnine. To help what the rest of the world thinks...we are not Thier saviors or Thier banks. Let them find Thier own way out of Thier problems-it's not ours. WE MUST BECOME FINANCIALLY SOLVENT.

Stop wasteful spending, stop all spending on foreign aid during our own economic crisis. Let others countries and nations aid us for a change. This is the stupidest Administration that has ever held office in America. The Democrat Party is destroying our Nation on purpose, and the Republican Party is letting them commit atrocities. Make them to resign, arrest them for Treason, Impeach them all. I don't care. . . at this point just get them out of our White House.
