Business can not afford to increase minimum wage to $10.10, and then up the ladder - while we're in a recession with actually 32% OF THE POPULATION ALREADY OUT OF WORK!!!! 5a

All this will accomplish is a higher cost of living for everyone. Plus the increase will most likely put many in a higher tax bracket where the net result may be less take home pay for them. Nice for the thieves at IRS, but could put many further in debt.

Increasing the cost to businesses is NOT the right thing to do when the US is running the poorest economy and about unemployment rate (according to many economists) is really running at 32%.

How would it help to raise the minimum wage, the business would have to discharge 2 employees to pay the wage. Sounds senseless to me.

The "Market" in our Free Enterprise society will determine what the fair wage is for all jobs, not The Government!

It doesn't take a genius to know, that if the minimum wage is raised people will lose their jobs. In addition, it would be unfair to the people who have been working for several years and is not up to the $10.10 amount, for a new hire to come in at $10.10.

You congress people are so stupid. You need to take Economics 101. You put the wages up to $10.10, you will force a lot of people out of jobs. You won't help people, but then I would imagine that Obama has put you up to this, so the country can crumble even worse then what is is.
