These type of jobs were never meant to support a family. Usually, they were jobs for high school kids, college kids, or just to add to the family real income. I have never heard of anyone saying that they wanted to grow up to be a hamburg flipper at McDonalds, as a profession for the rest of their lives. Also, if the Fed would quit printing money, maybe seven dollars an hour would be worth seven dollars an hour. When you keep on raising the minimum wage all you do is put others out of work.REPORT COMMENTS

Minimum wage is not meant to support a household, but to give unskilled people desiring to enter the work force to add another salary to the total household income, allowing that person to have spending money. As this entry level salary is raised it will cause this unskilled worker TO NOT BE HIRED in favor of a more skilled worker, causing this higher minimum wage to BECOME the only household income. This fallout is going to add to unemployment, and less work for the unskilled teenager trying to find employment. These jobs are not meant to trap people over their entire life, but as this wage is made higher, it WILL TRAP people, in NO JOB!REPORT COMMENTS
