America has laws and make additional one if necessary. America does not need the United Nations or any country dictating law over our constitution. The United States has governed itself for over 237 years and continue doing so. Let other nations follow our sovereign laws. -

PLEASE oppose the UN Disabilities Treaty!! We do not need international treaties making decisions for American citizens. Protect our rights and those who can't speak for themselves; let parents decide what is best, not international law. Thank you- Mrs. BaileyREPORT COMMENTS

Mandating UN rules to our constitutional system, in this case of disabilities as found in the CRPD treaty, is errant as it not only trumps our Constitution, but our gold standard of true care for and leadership in this whole area of people with disabilities.REPORT COMMENTS

As Americans we do not need the UN to dictate how we treat those with disabilities. We are quite capable of passing laws within the framework of our system that protect them, and we have done so. Besides that, as a mother of four, I don't want my rights as a parent dictated to me by foreign authorities. I urge you to refrain from supporting the CRPD despite your party stance.REPORT COMMENTS

Vote "No" on ratifying the CRPD. We set the gold standard in disability law without the UN's help, and we can continue to improve that standard without giving up our principles of self-government. Americans have repeatedly shown our generosity and respect for our fellow man, and I believe we can continue to do that without international babysitters. Ultimately, U.S. domestic policy should be decided in the halls of Congress, not at the U.N.REPORT COMMENTS

The writers and supporters of this do not even know me, so how could they possibly deny me my parental rights as if guilty. That is not the American way. The UN is not American. Oppose the UN Disabilities Treaty.REPORT COMMENTS

This is ludicrous that it is being considered a second time in the Senate. This is not a help to America, it is a foot-in for others than Americans to set our laws.REPORT COMMENTS

Please leave the power to take action to protect the disabled in U.S. hands, not the UN. We do a better job of protecting the disabled and do not need to be subject to international law.REPORT COMMENTS
