Our Constitution is clear with regard to our owning and using firearms. The Second Amendment secures that right for us. Any effort by any member of the U.S. Government to allow foreign laws to supersede our Constitution is committing treason and should by impeached and tried for the crime. Remember that the first step toward enslaving a people is to disarm them.

Any congressman who votes for this treaty should be deemed a traitor to this country. Come on congress, use your common sense if you have any. Vote for what is good for our country not your (democrat) party!

I know that the government will say that this traty is not going to eliminate our 2nd Amendment Rights. That is an outright lie. The underlying principal is to do exactly that. It is a disguise, a wolf in sheeps clothing. When the government comes to confiscate the citizens firearms, and the citizens refuse to comply. With the treaty, the U.N. forces can be called in to enforce the confiscation. These forces would be from another country and have no problem firing on and killing American Citizens who would resist. This treaty is just another step towards creating a dictatorship in this country. Can that happen in this country? It already has. The Revolutionary War happened to fight against this very circumstance. The "Shot Heard Around The World" took place as the British soldiers were going through Lexington on their way to Concord for the purpose of confiscating the Colonists guns. Gun confiscation didn't go over big then, and it won't go over big now. That's why the 2nd Amendment is the 2nd Amendment and not the 20th.

We can not allow a treaty to simply undo one of our most important Amendments to the Declaration of Independence. I also likely believe that American's will not simply turn in firearms as was so pathetically done in Great Britain and Australia, I think American's will see it as the final straw that breaks the camel's back!
