Tell Senators: Oppose the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty!

On April 2, 2013 the United Nations approved the Arms Trade Treaty by a vote of 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.

On April 2, 2013 the United Nations approved the Arms Trade Treaty by a vote of 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.

Despite what some may say, this Global Treaty is incompatible with the Second Amendment to the Constitution as it would provide the United States Executive with sweeping powers to regulate which guns can and cannot enter or exit our country. It is also a likely stepping-stone to a mandatory international gun-registry.

Senator Mike Lee of Utah, one of thirty-four Senators who voted on a resolution in April of last year opposing the Arms Trade Treaty, says that he will block the anti-gun U.N. effort "as long as [he is] breathing in the U.S. Senate."

"I have great concerns that this treaty can be used to violate the second amendment rights of American citizens, and do not believe we should sign any treaty that infringes on the sovereignty of our country," said Lee in a statement.

In order to prevent the Arms Trade Treaty from carrying any force in the United States it must be rejected by the upper house of the United States Congress despite the fact that Secretary of State John Kerry signed it last year. This is exactly why we must demand our elected servants to oppose the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, should gun-grabbing Harry Reid bring it to a vote.

Take action! Sign the petition and send a free message to your United States Senators demanding that they oppose the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty!

The US leadership cannot condemn our nation, built to safeguard our freedom, to UN and enemy countries decisions which are often in total conflict with our Constitution. ... and under mine what we stand for.

I previously sent you a similar petition but the reply I received I believe was a lie that it would not have any effect on the Second Amendment. How could it not? It calls for registering our guns. I will refuse to register any guns I might have and I WILL GLADLY DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION WITH MY LIFE. Any American who signs or votes for this treaty is committing treason. There are many other countries that would love to see us disarmed and unable to defend ourselves and this is just another attempt to do this, Stand up for the Constitution and refuse to ratify this treaty. Also DO NOT try to tell me again that it will not effect our rights.
