This bill contains registration requirements. Historically registration has always led to outright confiscation. This bill is completely unreasonable. A knee jerk reaction that does nothing to solve anything except deny law abiding citizens the right to bear arms of their choice. If congress needs to ban anything it is the SSRI psychiatric medicine most of these shooters are taking when they go on these tragic shooting sprees. Why haven't we heard congress address this issue? Also allowing these "gun free" zones where sick individuals have found an endless supply of helpless victims. End the "gun free" school zones and allow teachers the right to defend themselves.Jan 2nd, 2013Rory K. from New Milford, CT writes:
The second amendment was put into place in order to defend us from the exact brand of tyranny we're experiencing by this government who will disarm us at any cost. We law abiding citizens of this great nation cannot and will not stand for this.REPORT COMMENTS

There are 100 million+ lawful gun owners in this county. I doubt you will find many that don't believe in "reasonable" gun control. But there is nothing "reasonable" about punishing all 100 million of us for the crimes of a couple of mad men.REPORT COMMENTS

Criminals would not abide by this law and would still have guns. All this weapons ban would do is make law abiding citizens easier targets for criminals.REPORT COMMENTS

I am an up and coming law student that has enjoyed my free right to bear arms since the age of 18. I feel the new proposed ban violates numerous precedences such as our 2nd amendment rights, precedence law set forth by the Heller and Mcdonald cases, and our right against unwarranted search and seizures. This proposal is absolutely absurb and I will do all I can to fight it and any regulations that may come from it. Thank you for your time.REPORT COMMENTS
