Stop hurting small business and the lower range workers. This is only a show from the administration and will continue to hurt wage earners.Mar 6th, 2014Kathy T. from Camp Verde, AZ signed.

Opposition to a minimum wage is increased by the specter of it being raised yet again. In fact this governmental intrusion into the market-place forces business owners to part with his or her capital for some distorted ideological promise of being for "fairness' sake" -- nothing more than wealth redistribution and theft. After all is an employer's money not his own property? What's more, if the federal government overprices labor by hiking the minimum wage by fiat, the results actually destroy jobs for low-level workers (we already know that dont we?) -- the very demographic the "fair wage" mandate is aimed to assist, as given in the mindless propaganda, makes one ask: What good is a wage control mandate of $10.10 per hour wage if there aren't any jobs to be had at any pay-rate? It is a taxation of the poor who no longer have anything that can be taxed or confiscated. Time for legislation to be real and honest law -- not the political plaything as has been seen with ObamaCare. The results of this attempted at perpetuating this fraud, along with the other current lines of fraud, will drive the purchase power of the dollar that much closer to zero and produce blowback that will make politicians at all levels pariahs and out looking for work themselves (and their accumulated wealth as so much waste paper). Perhaps that is a marked success in the season of political suicide.REPORT COMMENTS

Raising the minimum wage won't help the economy. Creating jobs will help the economy! Please don't approve the hike in the minimum wage; allow employers the freedom to raise the wages of their employees WITHOUT BEING REQUIRED to do so.REPORT COMMENTS
