Why are we allowing the U.N. to tell the U.S.A. what to do and how to do it? There are plenty of U.N. members that treat their people worse than we do. However, with all the "Foreign Aide" we now have cities going bankrupt since we can't even take care of our own. SAD !!!Aug 21st, 2013Rebecca G. from Lagrange, GA signed.
Aug 21st, 2013George L. from Bonanza, OR writes:
Article 7(2) of the treaty establishes that [i]n all actions concerning children with disabilities, the best interests of the child shall be a primary consideration. This best interests principle has already been interpreted by international legal scholars as giving bureaucrats the authority to override the decisions of the parent or the child, provided it is in the best interests of the child. Further, its inclusion in the treaty makes it the responsibility of the federal government, and not parents, to determine what is in a childs best interests.REPORT COMMENTS

We the People don't give our Government the power to override or Sovereignty or our Constitution which they all swore an Oath to uphold and defend, it is time that this Admin and all Senators and House Reps understand that the people have the power not them. How dare any of our elected officials do what they think is right and not what our laws state, they aren't above the law they are more bound by the law that we the people are. I demand that the UN never has power over our Rights or Constitution on anything, especially our Right to Bear Arms and even this seemly harmless treaty our our disabled, I am disabled and will not allow a foreign body of dictators rule over me or my beloved county. VOTE NO on this treaty and the Arms trade treaty, never ratify any of those treaties and if signed they better never be put into effect just because Obama has a habit of making his own laws by ignoring the laws of this land, it is past time that Obama be held accountable for his actions now. No Ratifying any UN treaties, PERIOD!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Many of those who are disabled have spilt their blood, sweat and tears to preserve the sovereignty of the United States of America. This treaty would surrender it to a United Nations body made up of uncertain individuals who have no direct accoutability to the citizens of the United States. Although the UN body may have good intentions this is not a good law to impose upon the US. We hold our freedom sacred, let us never give it away willingly to an outside power.REPORT COMMENTS
