Tell U.S. Senators: Oppose the Confirmation of Michelle Friedland to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals!

As Friedland has proven herself to be a judicial supremacist – an enemy separated powers and limited government – she is totally unfit to serve in the Ninth Court of Appeals.

Update 4/11: The final vote on the Friedland nomination, which was scheduled for 5:30 pm today, will likely be postponed until the same time on April 28. The Senate will likely tonight reach an agreement to push this vote to after Easter.

Update: The United States Senate invoked cloture this morning on Friedland; they now have up to thirty hours to debate her confirmation before the final vote. The only Republicans who favored closing the debate on the nomination were Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.

A critical vote is set to take place in the U.S. Senate at 10:30 a.m. eastern on April 10: the cloture vote for Michelle Friedland to the 9th Circuit Appellate Court.

As Friedland has proven herself to be a judicial supremacist – an enemy separated powers and limited government – she is totally unfit to serve in the Ninth Court of Appeals.

As an active member of the liberal American Constitutional Society, Friedland believes in “debunking” originalist and strict constructionist interpretations of the Constitution rather than upholding the Supreme Law as it is expressly written.

She’s even written, “there is no independent truth about the content of rights in state constitutions …. The rights are no more than what enforceable judgments of the state courts say they are.”

This is to show that Friedland is of the opinion that Courts create law – not elected representatives working in accord with the revealed law and the laws of nature.

Before Harry Reid brings the debate on Friedland’s nomination to a close on April 10, take action and send a strong message to your United States Senators right now!
