Tell Senators: Oppose the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty!

On April 2, 2013 the United Nations approved the Arms Trade Treaty by a vote of 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.

On April 2, 2013 the United Nations approved the Arms Trade Treaty by a vote of 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.

Despite what some may say, this Global Treaty is incompatible with the Second Amendment to the Constitution as it would provide the United States Executive with sweeping powers to regulate which guns can and cannot enter or exit our country. It is also a likely stepping-stone to a mandatory international gun-registry.

Senator Mike Lee of Utah, one of thirty-four Senators who voted on a resolution in April of last year opposing the Arms Trade Treaty, says that he will block the anti-gun U.N. effort "as long as [he is] breathing in the U.S. Senate."

"I have great concerns that this treaty can be used to violate the second amendment rights of American citizens, and do not believe we should sign any treaty that infringes on the sovereignty of our country," said Lee in a statement.

In order to prevent the Arms Trade Treaty from carrying any force in the United States it must be rejected by the upper house of the United States Congress despite the fact that Secretary of State John Kerry signed it last year. This is exactly why we must demand our elected servants to oppose the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, should gun-grabbing Harry Reid bring it to a vote.

Take action! Sign the petition and send a free message to your United States Senators demanding that they oppose the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty!

The axis of evil nations have too much power in the UN.As in the case of Syria. Their people are being slaughtered and Assad is still in CONTROL .Tyranny reigns there because of Russia and China. They are there to promote their evil ways and to inhibit our freedoms. The UN and this administration are not friends of freedom and our Constitutional rights. This is another seemingly benign step that progressives use to inch their way a little closer to deny our 2nd ammendment rights and disarm us and leave us defenseless. I don't trust the UN because the countries run by dictators have an overwhelming influence on freedom. A FREE COUNTRY has no business associating with with countries that use iron fisted control of their people. If you play with snakes you will get bitten. If you are rubbing shoulders with dictators you lose your freedom. We ,as a nation are already oppressed with more rules and regulations. America is the last stand for freedom in the world. This treaty is just another nail in the coffin of liberty they are preparing for us. I think that by being persistent, they think that we will get weary and give in. They don't know "We the People" very well. Please oppose this treaty and preserve freedom. Thanks Gentlemen
