Tell Senators: Oppose the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty!

On April 2, 2013 the United Nations approved the Arms Trade Treaty by a vote of 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.

On April 2, 2013 the United Nations approved the Arms Trade Treaty by a vote of 154 to 3, with 23 abstentions.

Despite what some may say, this Global Treaty is incompatible with the Second Amendment to the Constitution as it would provide the United States Executive with sweeping powers to regulate which guns can and cannot enter or exit our country. It is also a likely stepping-stone to a mandatory international gun-registry.

Senator Mike Lee of Utah, one of thirty-four Senators who voted on a resolution in April of last year opposing the Arms Trade Treaty, says that he will block the anti-gun U.N. effort "as long as [he is] breathing in the U.S. Senate."

"I have great concerns that this treaty can be used to violate the second amendment rights of American citizens, and do not believe we should sign any treaty that infringes on the sovereignty of our country," said Lee in a statement.

In order to prevent the Arms Trade Treaty from carrying any force in the United States it must be rejected by the upper house of the United States Congress despite the fact that Secretary of State John Kerry signed it last year. This is exactly why we must demand our elected servants to oppose the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, should gun-grabbing Harry Reid bring it to a vote.

Take action! Sign the petition and send a free message to your United States Senators demanding that they oppose the ratification of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty!

This Tready will turn more of the US work and decison making over to the UN and allow international decisions to be made, eliminate effectiveness of the Supreme Court as UN decisions will override US decisions. The oceans and our shorelines will not belong to the US any more, and America will lose out in trade again. In addition the UN will attempt to force more gun control on US citizens. Doing this will take most decisions away from America and give them to UN!!! That's not why America was developed, and it's not how the UN was built. UN is also exceeding it's powers! Stop this. We must take back our decisiveness and support our own business and workers in this low economy!!! Please.........

Our Constitution is clear with regard to our owning and using firearms. The Second Amendment secures that right for us. Any effort by any member of the U.S. Government to allow foreign laws to supersede our Constitution is committing treason and should by impeached and tried for the crime. Remember that the first step toward enslaving a people is to disarm them.

The United Nations has NO business getting involved in any sovereign countries affairs. Every place they have been in my 70 years is worse off due to its intervention. As far as this Arms Treaty, it has been written for only one reason. To further the United Nations Dream (or whomever is pulling it's strings) of a one world government. Do not support this or any other arms treaty or arms limitation, registration, magazine capacity or 2nd Amendment restriction. It is time to defund the UN of any support and ask (tell) them they are no longer welcome in the United States. When they start pushing laws that attack our sovereignty and the liberties of the citizens of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA it is past the time to give them the boot.
