Tell Lawmakers: Legalize Cell Phone Jailbreaking

Under current law, unlocking one's cell phone -- or "jail breaking" -- is classified as a felony offense!

Cell phone owners should be able to use their devices in whatever ways they see fit. After all, the phones are their property.

Strikingly, under current law, unlocking one's cell phone -- or "jail breaking" -- is classified as a felony offense!

A short bill sponsored by Rep. Bob Goodlatte would change this and allow consumers to unlock their mobile devices if they should choose to.
