There are more consumers than income earners. The FairTax makes more sense. It's the only tax reform I'll support.REPORT COMMENTS

Preparing a speech on a nonprofit organization for my college speech class, the rebuttal for what about poor people led me to a realization. There is no “We the People of the United States” (The Preamble to the U.S. Constitution) and never has been “We the People” is a fallacy. In order for it to be true we would all have to vote for the same person. “We the People” only includes the winning elected representative of some voting citizens. But there could be an actual "We the People of the United States" if all people were taxed equally without discrimination and an insane tax code. Go FairTax!REPORT COMMENTS

The primary reason people with power and consequently large resources don't want the Fair Tax is because they would also have to pay taxes. Thus the name "Fair Tax". It will take public outrage for congress to move on this issue. They neither want to pay nor give up the ability to pick winners (themselves) and losers (the rest of us). Our founding fathers, who gave their all for the greatest "freedom" experiment in human history, can only feel betrayed by such cowardice. We the people rolled over when we allowed Central Banking, the warfare/ welfare state, and this ridiculous and tyrannical tax code to become a part of this formerly "Free" and great country. Let's stop bickering across so called aisles and start voting for patriots who love freedom. The Fair Tax is a great start.REPORT COMMENTS

AS my Congressional Representative, I implore you to look into enactment of the FAIR TAX. Why are we still taxing income when how much money you make means absolutely nothing. The number in your bank account doesn't do a lick of good! Money only matters when you SPEND it. So tax consumption already. It eliminates dozens of methods of fraud, and the simplified tax process reduces the size of the federal government, lowering the burden on ALL taxpayers. One more thing about the FairTax. As a consumption tax, everyone pays it. Everyone being citizens, green card holders, student and work visa holders, TOURISTS, and so forth. How many of those pay income taxes now? Increaseing the size of the pot lowers the needed burden on those already contributing. This essentially gives MORE people a tax cut overall. What about low income families paying more? Well, the Prebate exemption calculates if you spend under the poverty level and accommodates your tax rate accordingly. So, low income families may actually be exempt from federal taxes altogether. The Fair Tax rewards hard work. It gives you your full check, and ONLY taxes you on what you spend. This has the added benefit of making it far easier to save for retirement. Imagine that you live frugally and only spend 30-40% of what you earn. You could save over half of your yearly wages towards retirement. So each year you work would equal one year saved for the future. Work 30 years, and have (nearly - due to inflation) 30 years saved up. That's not a bad deal! How many years do you have to work now in order to save enough money to live for 30 years after retirement at your current lifestyle? ENACT THE FAIR TAX!REPORT COMMENTS

The FairTax is the only plan that will solve a myriad of our problems and be truly fair for everyone! Trump favored it over all other plans in a previous interview, Newt has championed it from the beginning. You own the majority in the Congress and the Senate with cosponsors from both parties, and you have the Presidency! Are you determined to prove you're just as much a part of the "Swamp" by doing nothing with the FairTax? Or will you grow some testicles and do the will of the people by bringing H.R. 25 & S. 18 to the floor for discussion and a vote? Let's "Make American Citizens FREE Again"!REPORT COMMENTS

There is no legislation out there that would do more to change the "pay to play" politics in Washington than the Fair Tax. It incentivises the win-win economy and drains the crony capitalist's piggy banks.REPORT COMMENTS
