Various entities of economic analysis and policy have repeatedly confirmed that the laws of supply and demand are valid. The numerous and growing options for expansion of America's energy independence are being unwisely ignored or opposed by the Administration. As Mexico is less able to continue supplying petroleum products at previous levels, and as Venezuela is less inclined to do the same, it makes eminent good sense to avail ourselves of the fortuitous circumstances found in Alberta, Canada. There are only up-sides in expanding our relationship and commerce with Canada. They share our inclinations towards clean environments and our commerce would be a win-win for each and North America. Moreover, it would reduce our reliance upon hostile suppliers for our energy needs. I encourage you to emphasize these points of enlightenment for the edification of the Administration as they consider energy independence, job creation, dollar stabilization and economic stimulation.REPORT COMMENTS
