Tell Congress: End 'Gun-Free Zones' At Military Bases

June 2009: Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad kills 1 and injures another at a recruiting station in Little Rock, Arkansas...

November 2009: Nidal Malik Hasan kills 13 and injures 32 at the Soldier Readiness Center in Fort Hood, Texas...

September 2013: Aaron Alexis kills 12 and injures 3 at Navy Yard in Washington, DC...

April 2014: Ivan A. Lopez kills 3 and injures 16 marking the second mass-shooting in Fort Hood, Texas...

July 2015: Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez kills 5 and injures 2 at a recruiting center in Chattanooga, Tennessee...

All of these tragedies were facilitated by federal policy that mandates ‘Gun-Free Zones’ at bases and other military workplaces.

If you agree that Congress must end 'Gun-Free Zones' for the military, add your name below and proceed to send a personalized message to your U.S. Representative and Senators on this issue.

The military "gun-free" zones represent political and idealogical warfare. As a Navy veteran, I am disgusted by and would not support this baseless policy.

Most mass shootings happen in gun free zones. Why should a killer feel safe because they know law abiding citizens won't be able to stop them?

We probably need some restrictions. I'm glad my barracks mate was unarmed the night he came in drunk and angry.

Common sense has failed! When any of our people are at risk (targeted by the enemy) and are not allowed to defend themselves and others - we are in very deep trouble!

I find it unthinkable for military people to not be able to carry arms like any other citizen. Who else would be more qualified to carry and defend.

As a Retired Navy Man, I think it is beyond ridiculous that the Men and Women who serve in our Military and provide the Nation with Defense, are not allowed to be armed at Home, on Base and left defenseless. This needs to change now. Stop the MADNESS!

Either arm our soldiers on military bases; or if not, then simply frisk (like the airports do) any other person (including civilians) who shows up who is not scheduled to be on the grounds. Same for ANY military facility. If this policy had been in place deaths could have been avoided. Learn from the State of Israel: they have armed guards/guard houses at the entrance to all military bases.

If we cannot allow our military to defend themselves, how can we ask them to defend our nation? It is the creation of gun free zones that creates the opportunity for terrorist and crazed lunatics to carry out these mass shootings. By eliminating the gun free zones we can allow for the defense of American citizens.
