Tell Congress: Pass the Fair Tax Act of 2017! Messages Sent So Far The current federal income tax system is clearly broken — unfair, overly complex, and almost impossible for most Americans to understand. But there is a reasonable, nonpartisan alternative before Congress that is both fair and easy to understand. A system that allows you to keep your whole paycheck and only pay taxes on what you spend. It's called the FairTax. Introduced in the U.S. House and Senate as H.R. 25 and S. 18, respectively, The FairTax is a national sales tax that treats every person equally and allows American businesses to thrive, while generating the same tax revenue as the current four-million-word-plus tax code... and without the I.R.S. The Fair Tax Act of 2017 is the only tax replacement plan before the U.S. Congress that: Eliminates all federal income and payroll taxes including personal, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security/Medicare, self-employment and corporate. Eliminates the need for businesses and individuals to file federal income tax returns. Eliminates over 74,000 pages of Internal Revenue Code and the estimated $350 billion in annual compliance costs. Defunds, disbands and eliminates the Internal Revenue Service. Favors American businesses and workers over foreign corporation, and dramatically increases the rate of economic growth and job creation. Brings American jobs back to America and generates employment opportunities for the hundreds of thousands of chronically unemployed. Repeals the 16th Amendment and direct taxation through companion legislation. Take action and tell your U.S. Representative and Senators to co-sponsor the Fair Tax Act of 2017. Add your name in the fields below to proceed to send your no-cost letters. Be a part of the FAIRtax movement and help make make April 15 just another spring day. Visit FAIRtax.org. -

Just read we have the "freedom" to burn an American Flag, but no freedom to help people in need through Christian organizations??? This is not the America that our forefathers fought for, or are soldiers are fighting for now. Sounds like the IRS and others in control are against America and are doing whatever they can to destroy it.REPORT COMMENTS

Enough is enough. I've had it and am fed up with this government. Is the rule of law now void in the USA? Do the rest of us have to follow the rule of law or can we now run amok? Are we still a civil society or a bananna republic living under a dictator, lawless and with no accountability??REPORT COMMENTS

The public trust has been repeatedly violated over the past six years. It is time the administration is held to the same laws that the public is bound by. Institute a simpler fair tax system that negates the degree of corruption made possible by this massive agency. Shrink the government and we will have less abuses.REPORT COMMENTS

I absolutely agree, the IRS has got to go. What a budget saver that would be! Also, I would opt for the flat tax where everyone and all entities get taxed the same....how fare is this! Not only would we eliminate a cost center, the IRS, but we would absolutely increase revenue to the Federal Government. The second option, the fare tax, or taxing goods and services instead of income also makes an abundance of sense to me. If you can afford it, you pay tax on it, if you can't afford it, you don't buy it and don't pay tax on it. Again, the Federal Government would increase revenue. For this to work you would have to eliminate the imbedded taxes already in the cost of goods and services. (most people don't know about these taxes). Last but not least, I am not in favor of handing over the collection of taxes from the Federal Government only to create another monster in the states. I also could see some vast inconsistencies developing between state to state as there already is between state to state. The fact still remains the IRS needs to be shut down and abolished. Amend the 16th amendment and put in a simpler tax code....again I opt for the flat tax....very simple.REPORT COMMENTS
