The Nation was much more prosperous and intelligent before this tool of indoctrination started dumbing down American Youth. Save the Nation do away with all the useless bureaucracies beginning with this one, the EPA, IRS, FEMA, DOE, etc.

The absolute best way to cut red tape and get the educational process back in the condition it should be in is by closing down the Federal Governments roll completely. Each State knows best how to educate their children.

I would ask that you all please co-sponsor this bill, HR899, rather than demand that you do so. I stand in agreement that the Federal Government has no role in educating our children, that that role belongs to the parents and the States. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look for your positive response to this request.

It seems to me that federal involvement in education is in violation of the 10th Amendment and should, by law be discontinued.

Thank the Lord, our grandchildren maybe will know our history. Have safer classrooms and better teachers, if the states will get their act together.

The Federal Government says Marijuana has no Medicinal value, despite having a Patent #6,630,507 which sites it as 'helpful'. 28 States sell Medicinal Marijuana. One, or 28 agencies are fraudulent, the Federal Government needs to stop 'protecting' U.S. from ourselves. Let the people control their education.

The Constitution never gave the Federal Government the right to be involved with education. The government NEEDS to follow the limited powers given to it by the Constitution and protect its citizens from invasion of by foreign entities. THAT IS IT PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!

Closing this boondoggle would save millions and close down the school industrial complex and get things back to teaching the basics and not the political indoctrination of big government.

More layers equal more waste, less accountability, and reduced effectiveness! It's way past time to get the federal government OUT of where they never belonged in the first place ... our schools! All education matters/decisions should be handled at the state and local levels with parents heavily involved.

In detail, how does the Department of Education know what is best for our local schools? Simply stated, they don't, so get rid of this useless department NOW!!!
