USAID continues despite "shutdown" – tell Congress to start making cuts!

It's time to tell lawmakers to start cutting USAID commitments and other "foreign welfare" programs – the government is not a charitable organization!

The current government shutdown has barred veterans from visiting memorials and has even thrown people out of their homes, yet the government evidently has enough money to keep doling out aid to foreign governments.

“The federal government may have ground to a halt because of the budget standoff in Washington,” says the New York Times. “But at least one part of the government continues to operate as usual: foreign aid agencies.”

The State Department has confirmed that foreign aid programs will continue, even as state and local aid programs are shutting down for want of funds.

It is time to rein in foreign aid but apparently that is not the Obama way. Throw Americans to the wolves, but support illegals, muslims and foreign aide at the expense of the taxpayers. The treatment of our Vets and soldiers because "we must feel the pain"" = what was it Valarie Jarrett said "those support Obama will be rewarded, those that don't will be punished" - nice to know Obama thinks of Americans first - NOT!!!! Obama can sure spend the tax dollars, just not budget, or be practical. The Democrats are Obama Reid Zombies that just spout talking points and have no ideas of their own, and if they did wouldn't stand up for them. I think the 70 percent of American got it right - there should be 535 plus several more vacancies in Congress and the White house.
