A person that opposes the 2nd amendment and one that wants to involve it in the aspects of what the Surgeon Generals position entails is an absolute not acceptable. The position of Surgeon General should only be concerned with the Medical Aspects of what the position entails and anything to do with guns and gun ownership should not have anything to do with things. I am totally against this nomination and request that confirmation be rejected - especially since he is a firm objector and supporter of Obama's ban on guns. Guns have nothing to do with a patients need for medical assistance and it goes beyond the scope of the position for Surgeon General. There needs to be a candidate that is non-bias on the second amendment and keep it out of medicine Enough is enough. Also his credentials are not sufficient in my opinion to hold this position.
