With all due respect you don't have to be shot at to be in danger. I have never been shot at while being deployed but I have had fragments /shrapnel fall on us during our nightly incomings which cost 2 sleeping soldiers their lives. Our lives are priceless and the time we sacrifice away from our families are irreplaceable so the least you guys can do is quit messing with our pay. As a mother each time I have to leave my kids I have to practically buy my family happiness. I have to create a distraction to keep my husband, patents and children's mind occupied so their minds are not on me all day.
