We would never ask the President for such thing! These men and women of our Armed Forces have earned it, without question! They have every right to expect the best care or payment for giving of themselves, so you can live in freedom without the loss of limb or sight, etc. that you can enjoy! Any decrease in pay should start with the Congress and the Senate who have unlimited health care, etc.; lets not destroy the only source we have to defend America by demanding such thoughtlessness!Aug 20th, 2012Someone from Copperhill, TN signed.

When my husband joined the Air Force, one of the benefits was medical care for life, if you stayed in to retire. Why is a UNION contact not to be broken, but it is OK to break contracts with our military men and women??REPORT COMMENTS

My husband was promised FREE medical care while in the Navy in return for giving up so much. He passed away last year with the understanding that I would be covered by Medicare and Tricare For Life. I cannot afford large premiums for this coverage. Nor do I want anything to do with Obamacare. That would be far worse.REPORT COMMENTS

To take away what has been promised to our veterans is a crime! Where would America be had it not been for their service! This is one of the most UN-American proposals this administration has come up with. Of course the suggestion earlier of having military families pay for their own health care is right along with the stupidity of this latest proposal.REPORT COMMENTS

Americans who volunteer for military service effectively write a blank check, payable to the United States of America for an amount "up to and including my life." The United States, in turn, promises to spend these checks responsibly. That bargain implicitly includes a promise by the United States to protect them and to seek retribution against anyone who harms them. For that sacrifice, you want to attach their hard-earned benefits? How dare you! You are not worthy to be our CIC!REPORT COMMENTS

Our troops deserve to have their medical costs paid for. They put their lives on the line for us so we can be free and we should take care of them. Don't increase our troops cost of care. If you are going to increase someone payments - do it to the union workers!!!REPORT COMMENTS
