It is time to stop treating the law abiding citizens that own firearms like they are nothing more than common criminals just because they own those firearms. If owning a firearm makes you a criminal then George Washington was a criminal, Thomas Jefferson was a criminal, and pretty much every other Founding Father that wrote the Constitution or signed the Declaration of Independence was a criminal! Owning a firearm does not make one a criminal anymore than owning a car makes one a Formula One race car champion. Firearms do not have telepathic powers that can compel the owner to commit crimes...to coin a phrase often attributed to the legendary author John Steinbeck..."The mind is the weapon, everything else is merely supplemental." Inanimate objects do not commit crimes, the minds of the criminals are what commits crimes. The bottom line of who can and will protect you and your family is 'you!' -

DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION! The crime and violence in this country is a due to a decline in morality~not to the 2nd Amendment. We need to restore our moral principles~Not take away guns.
