Tell Congress: Pass the Fair Tax Act of 2017!

Messages Sent So Far

The current federal income tax system is clearly broken — unfair, overly complex, and almost impossible for most Americans to understand.

But there is a reasonable, nonpartisan alternative before Congress that is both fair and easy to understand. A system that allows you to keep your whole paycheck and only pay taxes on what you spend.

It's called the FairTax. Introduced in the U.S. House and Senate as H.R. 25 and S. 18, respectively, The FairTax is a national sales tax that treats every person equally and allows American businesses to thrive, while generating the same tax revenue as the current four-million-word-plus tax code... and without the I.R.S.

The Fair Tax Act of 2017 is the only tax replacement plan before the U.S. Congress that:

  • Eliminates all federal income and payroll taxes including personal, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security/Medicare, self-employment and corporate.
  • Eliminates the need for businesses and individuals to file federal income tax returns.
  • Eliminates over 74,000 pages of Internal Revenue Code and the estimated $350 billion in annual compliance costs.
  • Defunds, disbands and eliminates the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Favors American businesses and workers over foreign corporation, and dramatically increases the rate of economic growth and job creation.
  • Brings American jobs back to America and generates employment opportunities for the hundreds of thousands of chronically unemployed.
  • Repeals the 16th Amendment and direct taxation through companion legislation.

Take action and tell your U.S. Representative and Senators to co-sponsor the Fair Tax Act of 2017. Add your name in the fields below to proceed to send your no-cost letters.

Our current system takes too much taxes out of the working person pocket. As an example I just received a success check from my employer, I was taxed at 40%. That's 40%percent I could have put into my retirement fund, We need the change now.

It is FAR past time to re-evaluate how we do this... Overly complex and "hidden" is immoral, unethical, and just plain unfair to the average person. In this modern economy, our tax system must be made simpler and MUCH more fair to motivate the workforce to succeed and advance, and also leave people's wages in their pockets, thus further fueling their ability to keep the economy trending positive.

I recognize that a free society has to pay for that freedon. The problem with our system is the complication of the paying process. Filing my taxes is a burdensome, stressful process. I am never sure if I have obeyed the tax law or if I'll be punished in some way. I always try to follow the law but I don't want to pay more taxes than I am required to. I never really know if things are okay until I hear from the IRS, and even then, I am not certain. This is a stressful and unfair burden to put on free a free society.

The Fair Tax is long overdue! We shouldn't have to hire a tax accountant to prepare our tax form. This levels the playing field!

If you truly want to abolish the IRS, the flat tax won't do it. It leaves the IRS in place to 1) collect our personal information and thus make it possible for our personal information to be shared for political targeting, 2) perform audits including targeted political audits, 3) keeps the IRS in control of defining which organization is a "non-profit", again allowing for political targeting. The FairTax is the only solution which abolishes the IRS. I could write (and have written) volumes on why the FairTax is a better solution the FlatTax. 68 House Representatives and 5 Senators agree with me. They are consponsoring the bill! The FairTax will bring an estimated 2 MILLION jobs to the US within the first 2 years! This is a MUST DO! So, please, let's do this!
