Tell Congress: No Debt Ceiling Hikes!

It's likely lawmakers will again play Chicken Little come February and ask for yet another increase in the borrowing limit. That's why we need to contact congress now and demand them to do the opposite.

“A failure to raise the debt ceiling would not cause default, but it would force us to balance the budget. It would perhaps make Washington politicians begin to take the disastrous spending problem seriously.” – Sen. Rand Paul

The alarmists always claim it is necessary for Congress to raise the debt limit to avoid some kind of national default or fiscal catastrophe. The thing is, they're dead wrong -- debt limit hikes are not needed to preserve the “full faith and credit” of the United States. The fact is, the U.S. Government has never once defaulted and isn't about to.

Sadly, on October 16, a coalition of Big Government lawmakers in the House and Senate succeeded in raising the debt ceiling until February 7, 2014.

It's likely lawmakers will again play Chicken Little come February and ask for yet another increase in the borrowing limit. That's why we need to contact congress now and demand them to do the opposite.

We don’t need another debt ceiling hike – we’ve already had nearly seventy-nine of them since 1960 – what we need is less government!

Take action! Sign the petition and send a message to your U.S. Representative and Senators telling them to OPPOSE debt ceiling hikes and SUPPORT a balanced budget!

If we can shut down the government and everything is still running, then we need less government. Don't raise the debt ceiling, cut out the unnecessary gov't spending and employees, starting at the TOP!

We must stop this madness of wild spending with no fiscal checks and balances. The American people and children that we profess to care so much about will break under the crushing burden of debt. Start the journey towards fiscal sanity and balance the budget.

We are already $17 trillion in debt. Congress should cut spending, not raise the debt ceiling to further enable our already gargantuan debt to balloon even more. And, a big "thank you" to Sen. Moran for your letter to Obama, pledging that you and 49 other senators oppose the UN gun control Arms Control Treaty!

The government must run "their house" the way prudent Americans run their houses -- don't buy anything on credit that can not be paid for -- and when the credit card is maxed out don't ask to raise the limit.
