Tell Congress: No Debt Ceiling Hikes!

It's likely lawmakers will again play Chicken Little come February and ask for yet another increase in the borrowing limit. That's why we need to contact congress now and demand them to do the opposite.

“A failure to raise the debt ceiling would not cause default, but it would force us to balance the budget. It would perhaps make Washington politicians begin to take the disastrous spending problem seriously.” – Sen. Rand Paul

The alarmists always claim it is necessary for Congress to raise the debt limit to avoid some kind of national default or fiscal catastrophe. The thing is, they're dead wrong -- debt limit hikes are not needed to preserve the “full faith and credit” of the United States. The fact is, the U.S. Government has never once defaulted and isn't about to.

Sadly, on October 16, a coalition of Big Government lawmakers in the House and Senate succeeded in raising the debt ceiling until February 7, 2014.

It's likely lawmakers will again play Chicken Little come February and ask for yet another increase in the borrowing limit. That's why we need to contact congress now and demand them to do the opposite.

We don’t need another debt ceiling hike – we’ve already had nearly seventy-nine of them since 1960 – what we need is less government!

Take action! Sign the petition and send a message to your U.S. Representative and Senators telling them to OPPOSE debt ceiling hikes and SUPPORT a balanced budget!

I would like to take a moment to thank the senators who aren't giving up under pressure and are still working for the American peoples. Senator Moran I would personally like to thank you for your letter to Obama about the arms treaty. The second amendment should not be tampered with. I would like to see a little bit more backbone from you guys though, stop budging to the democrats whims, if you have an idea and it's a good one stand behind it and fight!! The American people need you to stop thinking abou yourselves and start thinking of the people who put you in your position of power. We need you.

Obama care is yet another step towards the fall of this great country. Spending out of control and yet you with other (R)s insert and twist the knife that bleeds this, the greatest country on earth.

Please no more spending, no more tax hikes. The American people cannot take much more. From what I understand we will not default if we do not raise the debt ceiling

I live on a budget, within my means, I avoid credit cards and we have one car. Why is it so hard for our government to understand this process? Stop spending our children's money. What is so hard to understand??
