Let the market play it's course. Tax fuel if you want, but let the market determine whether or not people want electric cars.

This is just another total waste of the taxpayers money, like many many more that should be stopped. It would be shocking if the taxpayers knew how much of their hard earned money was being WASTED by this admnistration. The GOP neeeds to put a stop to them and all duplication of govt. Do your job or you'll be out!

If there was a way to make a profit, private enterprise will develop it. Government needs to get out of the private sector and stop making all these billion dollar boon doggle investments like Solyndra and clean out the departments that live large at the taxpayers expense like GSA, the court and all their lavish vacations. When there is a budget deficit you tighten your belt and not spend money that isn't there. With technology people do not need to travel to lavish vacation spots to have meetings or semi educational seminars.

The people of the US don't want these vehicle, as you can see by their dismal selling record, SUV'S, and Trucks, still lead the way. We're just not ready yet for electric vehicles.

The administration is attempting to reduce coal generation yet promote electric cars. The two philosophies are incompatable. Its either generate more coal fired electricity or reduce the number of electric vehicles sucking juice from the grid. My choice end the electric car subsidies.
