JP: "If members of Congress are protected by loaded automatic weapons in the Capitol..." then they should not be opposed to other citizens having firearms for the same protection Congress members seek. If Congress members feel that gun free zones are the most appropriate solution for eliminating gun violence, then they should pass legislation that will allow them to work in gun free zones so THEY may BENEFIT from the protection afforded by gun free zones. Congress members, more and more people are waking up to what's happening. We are watching how YOU vote so that WE will know for whom to vote also...Apr 8th, 2014Glenroy S. from Rosedale, MD signed.

Again many in Congress are going after guns. Then the criminals will have guns and no way to protect ourselves. By the time the police could or would arrive one would be dead. What you should be doing is banning gun free zones. Most of the horrific shootings have taken place in gun free areas. That alone should tell you something. Most criminals don't want someone to be able to shoot back. We have a DOJ who supplied Mexican drug lords and caused 100s of deaths and yet determines that the 2nd amendment should be thrown out. This administration is not about protecting America when it arms terrorist, but the destruction of America - you do remember his goal - "to fundamentally change America, its values and traditions" Sure to bad no one asked Obama what he meant......If anyone should have the right to carry guns it should be the military - they are fairly well trained. How many soldiers have we lost because of the stupid rule that no guns on military bases.REPORT COMMENTS

Since members of congress see taking an oath and giving their "sworn" word as nothing but a formality to get the goodies anyway, how about you get out of the way of those of us who take giving our sworn word as something more and allow us to do our job and give us the chance to defend ourselves from the PC trash you force us to accept, just like the draftees we were saddled with during Viet Nam.REPORT COMMENTS

Just maybe if they would actually recruit AMERICANS that know what taking the Oath to protect against threats foreign and domestic means we wouldn't allow the terrorists in our military. Oh wait, the oath our congress and senate take also states that they will UPHOLD THE CONSTIUTION of the UNITED STATES and only a handful of them take that oath seriously, which is why we have the problems coming out of Washington DC we do.REPORT COMMENTS
