Tell Congress: Bring Impeachment Charges Against the President for Unconstitutional Military Actions!

Only Congress Has The Power To Declare War, Not The President ...

Update: Rep. Walter Jones introduced H. Con. Res. 40 in the 113th Congress to replace H. Con. Res. 107, which expired. We adjusted the language to lawmakers to reflect this current bill.

International permission, coalitions, NATO, the UN: all of these things — rather than the Constitution — are cited as authorities for America to intervene militarily overseas.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, speaking at the Armed Services committee meeting on March 4, 2012, asked Defense Secretary Leon Panetta the right question in regards to the authority of US military actions overseas: “What legal basis are you looking for; what entity?”

Secretary Panetta responded — and this is not a joke — “Whatever legal basis we would need.”

How has the most powerful military in the world, the United States military, become detached from the Congress? What has happened to honoring the Constitution?

Rep. Walter Jones has issued H. Con. Res. 107 in response to such disregard of Constitutional parameters, placing the crux of blame on President Barack Obama — specifically in regards to US military action in Syria.
