Approval to pass HR 899. As a 30 Yr retired teacher the Federal government doesn't need to intrude in our local schools example: providing curriculum on Muslim 'Sunday school ' for non Muslim schools? REALLY? They won't do the same for other religions in public schools!!! Study of 'general' information on all religions is OK but just look into the 'lesson plans' the edu dept put out. Interesting. NOT. Also this will help clean the swamp

When the federal government gets involved in a states rights issue it always fails. It becomes a political a tool used by the party in the majority To bully and coerce the public school systems to conform to the party agenda. That is insidious corruption of the first order, as the previous administration has blatantly demonstrated. The federal government has no authority under the Constitution to interfere in the education system. A bunch of jackasses interpreted and twisted the Constitution to suit themselves. Get the federal government out of education!

There are many other federal agencies and branches that also need to be abolished. Please take action to accomplish this during the 115th Congress.

Yes the government don't need to be in our schools. Our government is letting young adult graduate high school that can't even read.

I am a retired public school teacher of 30 years and have abhorred the waste of taxpayers' money since the Fed DOE was funded. There is nothing the Feds can do that the state and local governments cannot do for themselves. Plus, citizens/parents can CONTROL the elected officials and their decisions in a more manageable way when not on a national level. Education for children is BEST served by bidding Good Riddance to the DOE and returning all funds to the state and local governments where it belonged before Central Govt. was endorsed by both the Dems & GOP. The Founding Fathers were right. See the 10th Amendment

I think our state department of education is more than adequate to deal with education in Arkansas. As a retired educator myself, I had to deal with too much paperwork and no extra time for it. Teachers need to be able to teach without the federal government's interference.

The education of our children should be put back into the hands of the parents, NOT the POLITICIANS. The teachers and administrators should report to the parents NOT the GOVERNMENT.

All these Fed. Gov. agencies should be abolished, and given to the states. If Trump doesn't do it , then we need a convention of states, to remove power from DC Obama WEAPONIZED every agency against the PEOPLE , to have control.
