Please Ignore this ridiculous legislation. We are a nation, we need national core basic education, standardized across the curriculum, Pre-K through High School. If states are allowed to develop their own version of education we will have Bible Studies, History according to 'God Knows Who', Science God Willing that says our world is 6,000 yrs. old. Good old fashioned segregation, or separate and equal will be back too. Local rule, at it's worst and most chauvinistic, which is what often dominates, is a disaster for national goals set for education, to compete effectively in a global economy.REPORT COMMENTS

Public education has been a State function since 1784 where Josiah Bartlett, second signer of the Declaration of Independence, penned the following: ...the purpose will also be to teach Christian morality.... That New Hampshire Constitution predated The U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Thus the unalienable 1st and 10th Amendments over rule the 14th Amendment.REPORT COMMENTS

Us schools are so bad they are now just holding areas, they teach how to fight, very little education can get through to the children. University are just as bad, most prof. are liberals who shame their students if they do not agree with their ideals and agendas. The state controlled education maybe better, due to parental control (somewhat, if they will). Also, almost all school systems receive free books from Islam groups. Where they have changed their training to a more favorable Islam agendas. History should not be change to make a religion or a region look better or "not so bad"REPORT COMMENTS

The responsibility for public education is a right retained by the state and local governments exclusively as it is power the is NOT delegated to the U.S. government.
