As a tax-paying American citizen, I am outraged at the proposed IRS rules for 501(c)(4) organizations that would gag social advocacy groups prior to elections. If adopted, these new regulations would completely silence conservative and Christian organizations - while leaving labor unions unaffected - by prohibiting them from organizing voter guides, debates, candidate forums, and other forms of educational outreach prior to elections: when the public desires such information the most. As the First Amendment prohibits government from infringing upon the rights of individuals to freely speak and assemble, I am totally disgusted at the proposed IRS rules as they would egregiously diminish these rights at times when their exercise is most valuable. These things stated, I urge you to discard the IRS' proposed "Guidance for Tax-Exempt Social Welfare Organizations on Candidate-Related Political Activities" rules. Sincerely,REPORT COMMENTS

This IRS is running roughshod over the people! It is using its powers for political purposes and needs to be reigned in or completely reorganized to perform the job it was designed for, to collect the fair taxes the countryis owed and do it in a way that does noy harm the population it is supposed to serve. If this cannot be accomplished then it sould be disbanded and a simpler way for people to pay their just taxes needs to be put in place.REPORT COMMENTS
