Tell Congress: Abolish the Internal Revenue Service!

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root." No more wrist-slapping: Abolish the I.R.S.!

"... the amendment of the Constitution in 1913, giving the Federal government power to impose a progressive tax on all incomes. This idea was not only European, it was Marxian, one of the cardinal points of the Communist Manifesto." - Garet Garrett, 1952

The sixteenth amendment and the income tax have created a government monster! Not only has April 15 Tax Day become the bane of our 365 day calendar year, but the Tax Agency itself has become an enemy of the Constitution and our liberties.

The Internal Revenue Service’s attack on tea party groups, pro-gun groups, Christian groups, and the First Amendment requires Congress to take severe and meaningful action.

Right now, Senator Ted Cruz is calling for the complete abolition of the Internal Revenue Service in order to end its "power to abuse" once and for all.

Sen. Cruz says:

"We have seen in recent weeks that the IRS has not honored its trust with the American people, that the Obama Administration has demonstrated a willingness to use the machinery of government to target their political enemies. That's wrong. It was wrong when Richard Nixon did it, and it's wrong when Barack Obama did it."

"It is a manifestation of too much power in the federal government. When the federal government has that much power in our individual lives it's an invitation to being abused. And I think we ought to abolish the IRS …”

H.D. Thoreau wrote in 1854, “There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.” We must demand our Representatives and Senators to join Senator Ted Cruz and work to “strike the root” of this present scandal by working to abolish the Internal Revenue Service entirely.

Congress must transition to a system that simplifies our tax system and makes the I.R.S. unnecessary: the adoption of a flat tax, national sales tax, or neutral tax all being viable replacements.

No more wrist-slapping: Abolish the I.R.S.!

Take Action! Sign the petition and send messages to your Representative and Senators demanding that they abolish the Internal Revenue Service!

Flat tax only if no deductions and 2/3 or 3/4 of Congress must vote for any future incremental increases of flat tax as needed. A fair tax only on goods over a certain dollar amount (Ex > $1k)

Give us a flat tax or a Federal sales tax with no deductions for anything for either. Some IRS workers would be retained to collect the tax.

Congress has shown that they don't have the Cohones to regulate and control the IRS. We have been investigating since 2010 and nobody has been held accountable because the Bureaucrats are much better at lying and hiding their misdeeds than Congress is in uncovering the facts. Lois Lerner admitted to having targeted the Tea Party applicants in 2010 and with that info given to them, the congress can't find a thing wrong. Too bad it isn't the Democrats investigating. They call people in and ask questions and demand answer. The weak spine Republicans are afraid to be too aggressive for fear that the Media might get mad at them--so they accomplish nothing!

The tax code can be simplified so that the IRS is not necessary, and is not available for mischief at the request of the administration.

Yes, I believe a flat tax would help reduce our national government's debt.
