Tell Congress: Abolish the Internal Revenue Service!

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root." No more wrist-slapping: Abolish the I.R.S.!

"... the amendment of the Constitution in 1913, giving the Federal government power to impose a progressive tax on all incomes. This idea was not only European, it was Marxian, one of the cardinal points of the Communist Manifesto." - Garet Garrett, 1952

The sixteenth amendment and the income tax have created a government monster! Not only has April 15 Tax Day become the bane of our 365 day calendar year, but the Tax Agency itself has become an enemy of the Constitution and our liberties.

The Internal Revenue Service’s attack on tea party groups, pro-gun groups, Christian groups, and the First Amendment requires Congress to take severe and meaningful action.

Right now, Senator Ted Cruz is calling for the complete abolition of the Internal Revenue Service in order to end its "power to abuse" once and for all.

Sen. Cruz says:

"We have seen in recent weeks that the IRS has not honored its trust with the American people, that the Obama Administration has demonstrated a willingness to use the machinery of government to target their political enemies. That's wrong. It was wrong when Richard Nixon did it, and it's wrong when Barack Obama did it."

"It is a manifestation of too much power in the federal government. When the federal government has that much power in our individual lives it's an invitation to being abused. And I think we ought to abolish the IRS …”

H.D. Thoreau wrote in 1854, “There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.” We must demand our Representatives and Senators to join Senator Ted Cruz and work to “strike the root” of this present scandal by working to abolish the Internal Revenue Service entirely.

Congress must transition to a system that simplifies our tax system and makes the I.R.S. unnecessary: the adoption of a flat tax, national sales tax, or neutral tax all being viable replacements.

No more wrist-slapping: Abolish the I.R.S.!

Take Action! Sign the petition and send messages to your Representative and Senators demanding that they abolish the Internal Revenue Service!

I believe it would be enlightening to go back and see how many states actually ratified the sixteenth amendment. If not enough actually did ratify it, contrary to the claim of the president at the time, the amendment is not legal or valid.

Ron Paul was right! The IRS is totally unconstitutional and is not a lawful agency of the United States.

I will not sign the partition because it is only for the honest people not the crooks . come on people use your head for something than a hat rack . How many thieves, pimps, whores and gamblers are going to belly up and pay taxes ? If this was for consumption taxes I would sign in a second because all people are consumers and no loop holes so everyone has to pay . Mr Cruz has not done his home work and everyone that has signed this partition is jumping on Mr Cruz's band wagon with as little knowledge as he has . People wise up and investigate the consumption tax and you will be happy you did . Consumption tax will bring corporations back into this country and make us one of the most prosperous nations in the world , we will be the nation to beat because few nations will be able to equal us in the market place for price . People will be back at work paying their bill and living in their homes without a worry one . This will end the importation of foreign goods because our manufactures will not have to add 50% to the cost of their product. I am from flint Michigan where the Buick and Pontiac were produced but when these cars came off the end of the line they had 58% apparent taxes in the cost of the vehicle . With consumption tax there would be no taxes on the car and when we lower the cost of our cars 58% no one can compete with us . try this with flat tax as Tom Cruz would like you to do . WAKE UP AMERICA .

I support a fair tax that would be a consumption tax INSTEAD of an income tax. We need to abolish the IRS AND abolish the income tax. People should be able to decide WHEN they pay taxes by the non-necessity items they BUY rather than automatically pay taxes when they EARN money.
