Stop the excessive vacation spending for the President & his family. We can't afford it and they need to respect the people of the USA.Jun 23rd, 2013Mike G. from Pleasant Hill, CA writes:
Everybody has to cut back except for him. I think he now realizes world leaders have no respect for him and he is losing support here fast. Might as well have a great time on our dime.REPORT COMMENTS

I would also like to add a comment to his lavish spending. We people over 65 who are on Medicate are being treated as if we are not important. We are the generation that made America the greatest country in the world and now we must suffer so the King and his Royal Family can go on these lavish trips and we who have worked so hard all our lives and now get so little are very, very angry. Our Representatives are our only channel to be heard. Please listen to your constituents loud and clear. Stop HIM.REPORT COMMENTS

Uncheckable presidential powers permit The President to engage in foreign trips without review. However, common sense should limit his trips to performing the duties of the president, such as attending international summits & conferences, the signing of international agreements and the reinforcement of the USs worldwide position regarding foreign affairs. It might also permit his acceptance of special acknowledgements from certain world renowned organization. But, presidential trips should not be used for his or his familys personal edification. Thats what vacations are for (most US families have limited vacation time and are not reimbursed beyond their salaries for any vacation expenses.) The considerable expense of his trips should also be curtailed in light of The Nations current financial situation. If he wants to spend taxpayer monies, common sense should dictate the significance for Americans to see Our White House over his taking another family vacation.REPORT COMMENTS

Most people can't afford 1 vacation per year. This is ridiculous. Let them spend their own money and not ours.REPORT COMMENTS

There should be a law stating a given amount in the budget for first family "vacations". Beyond that amount they should pay out of their own pocket.REPORT COMMENTS
